A Specialist Education Law Practice

As both a professional, working within the field of education law, and as a parent of a son with special educational needs, I understand the pressures that parents experience on a daily basis.

When searching for a legal advisor to assist you, I think that it is important to instruct someone who has both the professional expertise and the personal experience, to assist you to secure the correct educational support for your child.

I provide a highly personalised service because your child is as important to me as my own children.  I provide high quality advice at an affordable price and currently have a 98% success rate.

I specialise in Special Education Law and have represented hundreds of clients throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland whom have children with a diverse range of special educational needs.  Using modern technology such as email, telephone conferencing, video conferencing and the transfer of confidential documents via a secure web site link, I am able to assist clients regardless of their location in the UK.  I am also able to attend meetings throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland upon request, or alternatively clients are welcome to meet with me at my offices.

I have extensive experience of Special Education Law and am a former legal advisor with the national charity IPSEA (Independent Panel for Special Education Advice).   I have represented in excess of 800 clients within the last six years and have been providing Special Education Legal Advice for over 18 years.

I offer a personalised service to my clients and am deeply committed to ensuring that children receive the educational provision that they are legally entitled to.  I educated my own son, who has special educational needs for several years and helped to establish a special school for children with Autism, serving as the Principal of the school for several years, in an unpaid, voluntary capacity.  I am respected within the education legal community and a large percentage of my new client referrals are as a direct result of personal recommendation from previous satisfied clients.

I have successfully advocated for a wide range of educational provision including mainstream schools, special needs units, special schools, independent schools, ABA home programmes, education otherwise and a web-based internet school.

I have represented clients at Special Education Need Tribunals within England and Wales in addition to attending meetings at schools and Local Education Authority (LEA) offices.

The majority of my case work is successfully resolved without the need to proceed to tribunal. However, on some occasions parents may need to proceed to tribunal if there remains a difference of opinion between the parents and the Local Education Authority that cannot be resolved through the disagreement resolution process.

I pride myself on providing high quality legal advice whilst retaining the personal connection with each and every client. As a parent with personal experience of disability, I understand the frustration and sense of injustice that my clients often experience whilst trying to secure an appropriate educational provision for their child.
